Not to mention that 42nd Street Photo has a decidedly dodgy reputation. Never dealt with them myself, but I've read far too many reports of included accessories suddenly missing from boxes and offered as 'add-ons'.
Olympus hasn't officially announced a price, but they did say during the announcement that it would only be a 'modest' price increase over the MkI. The question is what they consider modest. I'm guessing $1499.

Defitiely dodgy,no matter what the ratings say. Used them once quite some time ago - wouldn't complete my order until I called, then tried to upsell me like crazy. Once they told me the battery was "extra", I canceled my order. Won't ever use them again.
Based upon commentary here on FM from our BH and Adorama reps, Resellerratings needs itself to undergo systematic evaluations as to the quality of their so-called "ratings." IIRC, sites who are represented on RSR have to pay a fee in order to comment upon the ratings provided by persons alleging that they had "such and such" an experience with company "this or that." What? some jamoke shows up on RSR and says that such and such a company sucks, such and such a company cannot mitigate that comment with a reply unless such and such company pays a freaking fee to RSR. Hmmmmmmm....sounds a bit like "pay to play" to me. Where is Hilariously Clinton when we need her

Does anybody expect the new camera will be for sale before Xmas or slip into the New Year?
K-H.
I have a feeling that it'll be on display and price announced by Photo Plus later this month and be on sale early December. That being said I could see a lot of preorders for this and if you're not early your camera probably won't ship until the new year.
It's not about being "bad," for me at least, it's about not having to speculate if I've been able to capture a shot that's in focus. I'm on a learning curve for BIF and other fast moving creatures, and, given 78 year old eyes, I need all the help I can get I'm hoping that the Mk II Oly will correct that because at least now, for me, the Mk I version, it doesn't work near so well as does the D500-300PFE. And yes, there is a major size difference of course
In what circumstances, if any, are the UHS-II cards necessary, as opposed to merely useful? I never shoot video, rarely shoot bursts longer than five frames, and am under no pressure to upload fast. Since I'll likely be buying eight 128GB cards (for two bodies), I'm thinking I should be just fine -- and would save a chunk of cash -- by staying one version behind the newest cards. This is something I've usually done over the years with no adverse effects. Am I missing anything?

You should be fine with just the UHS-I cards, UHS-II are beneficial for what you stated before with video, burst shooting with buffer clearing, and read speed.
