Brian I agree, wishing I had Imagemaster's light too.
We're on day 6 of basically non-stop rain; but before that it was 6-12F and snow
Tomorrow we are supposed to have 1-2 hours of full Sun! Of course the better part of the day is
more rain.
The good news is the M1ii is 1 stop more capable according to my local (Poof) expert but when the
light is that bad all the stops in the world aren't going to help.
I think tomorrow I want to study the macro stacking abilities of the M1ii...might as well since outside will
suck. Poof has the Oly 60mm macro and I have the much inferior Lumix 30mm macro but I'm going to experiment with the Oly 45.1.8 and a Raynox adapter.

I think the focus stacking will only work with the 60mm out of those three lenses.
From the Olympus specs page:
"8 shots are taken at different focus points and automatically composited together into a single image
* Angle of view becomes slightly smaller
* Compatible with :
M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro
M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO
M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO
M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm f/3.5 Macro
M.Zuiko Digital ED 7-14mm f/2.8 PRO
M.Zuiko Digital ED 8mm f/1.8 Fisheye PRO
M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4.0 IS PRO"
Another lovely shot but don't you have anything shot under grey, moist skies with haze and low light similar to mid-winter in your collection that you can share for us less lucky photographers
Thanks for the link to the review. Don't want to knock on the reviewer, but I thought it was a bit curious that he gave high praise to the AF (especially for BIF), but I didn't see any samples that showcased AF performance on moving subjects. I do agree that an implementation of "AF Cases" such as that used by Canon would be a nice update. Related to AF, does anyone else think that a joystick would be preferable to the directional buttons? Maybe I'm just too used to my Canon gear, but my thumb keeps going back there searching for the joystick to move the AF point.
Also not sure why he says he can't find a place to buy a spare battery from .

Also, I just checked out his Facebook page. The 4th picture in this article was not taken with the EM1 mark2, if you look at his feed. It says it was posted in November last year and he claims that he used an EM5 Mark2 and the 300mm f4 lens to take that shot.
Thanks for this. I've never really shot BIF except for the occasional try at hummingbirds on feeders (with E-M1), but I've made a few BIF attempts with the new gear. Used C-AF with 5 AF points. In this review, Scott Bourne recommends C-AF + Tracking. Is that the recommendation of experienced BIF shooters here?

Give it 6 months and you will pick up a canon body and wonder what that joystick was for
I found my biggest breakthrough using the EM series bodies came when I realised that they weren't anything like a canon and that the apparent similarities were simply there to confuse the user
