That’s a good thought actually ... if you are willing to sieve through a lot of photos ... and I mean a lot! I do something similar when I shoot a bug like a ladybug while hand-holding the camera and holding down the shutter in sequential mode, but instead of focus bracketing I would very gently move or rock backwards and forwards in the hope that I will nail focus on the eye/head area.
But I am usually still disappointed with the results because of the ultra-shallow DOF even if I managed to nail focus. With subjects like that you have to stop down to f8 or f11 ... or better yet, do focus stacking or bracketing.
Yeah I use the same technique with macro Bobby, when working very close and without a tripod sometimes it's just the best way. Shoot a lot delete the bad ones.
Like I said, it might work for things in flight like the ones Birdied often do!

Hi guys
Been away from quite some time. Hello to you all.
A quick help: I got a Panny 42.5 F1.7 lens. It has OIS but there is no switch on the lens to turn that off. Since I have a EM1.2 body, I perhaps need to turn the lens IS off because it may interfere with IBIS of Oly.
How do I do it?

Don't need to worry about it, if you want to use the lens IS you can set "Lens I.S. Priority" on otherwise the camera will only use the IBIS.

Guys I can’t transfer images from the camera to iPhone. Set up the wifi, paired and all but images from the camera don’t appear on the phone??
Are you shooting RAW? If so, no they won't show. Need to shoot RAW + JPG och only JPG.
Do you guys use face detect and eye detect features?
Its very nice but it overrides exposure and has its own exposure settings which you can’t change. I have found it brightens the face.
I pre-ordred a Panasonig G9 the other week, haven't been able to fill in the form to receive the battery grip in the package due to Panasonics European page still saying "coming soon" which is a bit worrying.
Anyway, Black Friday had to stores start an online fight with the E-M1.2. Original price of 2000 euros (about the same in dollars) was lowered a few times between the stores finally settling on 1450 euros and Olympus is still running their Winter campaign which, after registering gives back another 200 so all in all it will end up at 1250 euros for a brand spanking new E-M1.2 which I ordered more or less right a way
There were some things with the G9 I really wanted, a better user interface, joystick, better touch screen operability, the huge and lovely EVF but... all in all it's not worth the extra 750 over this E-m1.2. Besides, the E-M1.2 has got much better high res mode, live view bulb and comp, bigger buffer etc so pros and cons to both.
Panasonic is raising the bar, which is good news to all m43 shooters, as Olympus will now be forced to up their game as well, and sooner rather than later.

IBIS and AF should still work if you are shooting in C-AF mode ... but I wouldn't recommend the High continuous mode. The lower frame rate should theoretically allow IBIS and AF to work a little more efficiently and accurately.

EM1.2 in multiple frame rates: is IBIS working for the 1st shot only? I get 1st one sharp and following not so sharp.
