After shooting some moon-lit shots of Salto Grande we went looking for a nice sunrise composition as the cloud was looking promising for the morning. Stumbled across this little gem and stuck around for a magical sunrise
WOWSER! Breathtaking, you really got some very sweet light and an excellent composition. The water surface is so still it is magical looking. very inspirational stuff, thanks for posting!
If it was my image, I'd clone out that branch that's sticking above the mountain range/ peak in the centre-left of the image. Otherwise, I wish I had captured this shot.
well this is just horrible you should have marched on and gotten something better? (lol) WOWOWOWO!!! that is come kind of shot- make that a big one and hang it on some big wall!!!

This is very cool, love the wide view and the reflection. The tree in the water is different, but for me I hope you stepped to the left and got a shot without the tree in it, with just a clear uninterrupted reflection.
I am pretty picky when it comes to reflections and what is blocked in it. For me, with using this tree, I would have moved just a hair more to the right to get the peak on the right side that is getting blocked currently in the reflection to be unblocked. Like how you framed the peak reflections on the left side.

Unfortunately getting this particular shot without the tree was not possible; we were already standing in the lake (just) to capture this and moving further left to frame out the tree would have taken us in too deep (not to mention ruined the reflections.) I did plan on finding somewhere close by to try and shoot a shot without the tree however not long (seconds) after this exposure finished the wind picked up and killed the glassy surface so it was not to be.
Re: the blocked peak, it does bug me slightly too. I do have a shot with that peak unblocked, however that has it's own compromises; by stepping further right I feel it creates a more unbalanced division between Paine Grande (left peak) and the Cuernos (right peak) however this could possibly be addressed with some manipulation using the transform tool and a small crop. I also prefer the light in this one, as the cloud has more colour; nonetheless I do have a version with a mostly unblocked peak. I'll edit it and post it in here Cheers
