Great lighting and composition with very pleasant colors.
Thanks Koby,
I have a version with more vibrant colors and keep going back and forward now.

As said above the light is perfect and I like the depth you created with the clouds. You have also a beautifully composed foreground. It seems really a beautiful location.

Francesco,
It's definitely a unique location. If you've never been, I highly recommend it. Thanks for your feedback.

As you are aware, fall picture taking can be frustrating with smoke from wildfires...in our area C.Oregon, spring is also iffy with prescribed buns.
Yes, but with a bit of luck, fall colors can be very special. I am planning a visit to Oregon. I have seen so many beautiful images from there.
Foreground feels very solid and anchored. Smaller tufa out in lake very much needed to make composition work and lead to background sky. Open portion of sky needs those clouds burned down to add to richness and detail in sky.
Separation between foreground and first grove of tufa needs opening up and some local contrast. Needs to be part of and add to the picture.
Open up he left side of the foreground too.
Don't overdo anything. This pic could be very nice!
"Capture". As the Stones said "it's here and then it's gone". The word "make" is more applicable. Capture, trap, nailed it........make it sound like compositions are driven by luck. I sure as hell don't want my pictures relying on luck.
A good read are Susan Sontags essays on photography. She has some provocative thoughts. One of them that the word capture connotes an ownership.

Amazing shot.
The lighting and colors contribute to a very soothing image. What time of year did you take it?
Thank you! This image was taken about a month ago. (Beginning of April)

Thanks for the great feedback! Can you please post a comment to all my images from now on?
I really appreciated it and agree with all of the above. Take care, Fred
