What a treat to see! After 'chasing' a pair unsuccessfully for a good part of the winter, I really appreciate these fine portraits. Such graceful flyers and a real challenge to photograph.
This bird looks like a juvi changing to adulthood, with the mix of gray and brown. Wonderful set. I'm glad you got your chance and certainly didn't waste it.

Thanks for the pick and comments Don. As long as you stayed in your vehicle this bird would hunt reliably as the field was very productive this year with rodents
