The 2016 season is getting underway but here is a quick summary of last year and what we might expect again this year. Not sure if they will pull off triplets for a 4th year in a row but who knows??
Nicely shown; a year in review. It's always interesting to view this activity long term to see if it changes over time. Nice work if you can get it!

I thoroughly enjoyed the eagle images you posted last year Geoff. The quality of the images along with seeing the natural progress of these birds was wonderful. Looking forward to what you will have for 2016.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Last year I saw the 2 eggs on Mar 27th so I'll be out looking every day this long weekend to see if we get a similar timeline.

obviously outstanding - but sorry for the newb question.
What body/lens?
I shot these with a lot of different bodies and lenses. If you click on the Flickr links it will show you the combos for each shot or if you have an EXIF viewer plugin it will show also.
Basically it was either 1DX or 7D2 and lenses were 300 f/2.8 II, 600 f/4 II and 200-400 f/4. Also a few with the 100-400II. Many TCs were used with those lenses depending on the shot I wanted. To get a close enough shot of the eaglets when first hatched I had to use 7D2, 600II + 2xTCIII (1920mm) and still those are big crops.
Because I do a 20min hike/walk each day to get to the nest, somedays I didn't feel like lugging the heavy gear, others days it was well worth bringing the big stuff.
