Beautiful series, Kirk. These are as good as it gets. Outstanding images of a great looking bird. If I got that low to take the shots, someone would have to bring in a crane to get me back up.

There is nothing to offer from me on any crits that is for sure. You have adopted to PS very well my friend
Nice sharpness with the side profile type shots, nice coloring overall. Love the subject as well as the low level work Kirk, it all goes together nicely
For the heck of it what does a shot look like with the greens denatured? Might be fun to play with like tones throughout on one of these? Just a challenge for you to tinker with
Super beautiful, glad you and that pond are in harmony again!
Karl
Nothing
I still have things to learn in PS, but I'm finally getting fairly competent with it... as you know, the best images typically need minimal processing. I'm always tinkering with color and contrast, thanks for the suggestion.
Most appreciated my friend. Hope you get out in the field again soon.

A beautiful set ob images and an excellent job, Kirk! All come together beautifully: the light, the clarity, the bg the color tones and detail. And having a pretty and elegant subject makes it almost perfect
Socrate
Thank you Socrate. Everything comes together so nicely at this spot, all I have to do is press the shutter.
I'm afraid the grass/reeds will be way overgrown when the chicks arrive in May, preventing the low angle I cherish.

Fantastic, Kirk! These are beautifully done, from concept to finished art (and they all qualify as that). An absolute pleasure to view. Glad you had a good day out doing what you love doing!
Thanks for posting.
You are so kind, thank you so much for your very encouraging words, they are greatly appreciated. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed these images.

Beautiful shots Kirk. No.4 is my choice, the brown of water tones with the colours of the bird but all are great shots.
Jim
Thank you for the very kind words Jim. I like #4 as well, it's shot from the exact same spot as the others, just slightly to the right and thus reflecting a different BG which is equally as pleasing IMHO.

Hahaha It takes me a LOT longer to get up now than it used to Harvey.
This pond is magical this time of year, all I have to do is be there and hammer the shutter.
Many thanks for the very gracious words Harvey, it is most appreciated.
