p.1 #1 · Any image quality difference, D600 vs Canon 6D?
Just curious if in real world situations that the two cameras with the equal OEM lenses will be practically the same? Not worried about some skin tones or anything like that.

Peepers are always gonna peep, but I think the overall opinion, especially on the Nikon forum, is that you're getting better dynamic range and more mpx = a more versatile camera. Plus the d600 has a pop up flash (rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it) and 2nd memory card slot.
Snapsort comparison puts the d600 iq substantially higher. Hope this helps

Much better DR and slightly better high ISO performance on the D600/D610 sensor compared to the 6D. It also has quite a few more bells & whistles. Pretty hard to beat it for overall value these days. The D600/D610 is also dust & weather sealed to the same degree as a D800/D810.
Lots of other little advantages of the D600/D610 too if they apply to your usage
- Dual card slots
- Higher FPS
- Bigger buffer
- Better meter
- Much more sophisticated AF system (39 pts, 9 cross type vs 11 points, 1 cross type)
- Spot metering at every AF point
- Built in Flash
- Much more durable shutter
Main 6D advantages:
- -3.0 EV sensitivity at the center AF point in single shot mode (not sure what it drops down to in AI Servo)
- WiFi & GPS built in

I've used both. The D600 is better in almost every aspect except ergonomics and AF in low light. The DR in the D600 is simply miles ahead. The 6D has only 13 AF points. Simply put, the D600 is a much better value for money especially for the price it's going these days.

Yes, now I am using D600, D750 & D800. I used the 6D for a while in order to able to use the Rokkor 58 1.2. Since Nikon introduced the 58 1.4g, I can let go of the Rokkor.
Just a comment about the pop-up flash on most Nikons -- even though I have used the pop-up a couple of times and gotten shots when no flash shots were anticipated (and the Speedlights were in the bag), the big deal about the pop-up is that it can be set as Commander for the CLS -- very powerful. It's not merely a just-in-case, emergency accessory for snapshots.

On DXOMARK the DR of the D600/D610 drops to below the Canon 6D by a little bit after ISO 3200. How is the difference in that?
What percentage of your shots do you shoot at ISO3200 and above? If most of your shots are at the ISO range, then I think you need to reevaluate your camera selection... you really need a DF or D3s type of camera at least.

I have both. Both are good, but is all depends what you shoot. If you have some lenses or accessories for Nikon or Canon *** I will not change one for another.
If you can't take amazing photos with one of them - work on your technique and post-processing skill
And better get extra lens ( Nikon looks now like is getting better with every camera they make ). But both are very good
