lovely work, evert. loved the perspective on many of the pics. Like Eric said, once Africa gets into your blood, hard to get rid of it. He actually influenced me to go there last year.
Great images, welcome to the forum. Love the 'tongue' shots and the leopards in particular, but all are great. We had a really hard time finding leopards when we went to TZ several years ago, but it looks like you had much better luck. Thanks for sharing.
Welcome Evert and thanks for sharing your wonderful adventure, I enjoyed it very much.
Very strong series of images documenting your experience, you have an excellent eye for content and composition in your images.
3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, and 22 are my favorites.
Excellent work and I hope you post more of your work often.

Did you need the 100-400 II + 1.4x + crop body a lot ("896mm")? I see a lot of people going to the Mara with a 500 II on a full frame and maybe with a 1.4x tele at the most, which seems to be quite a bit shorter on reach. I am trying to figure out what gear I might want/need for that trip as well.
Cheers,
Mark
Hi Mark
In addition to Evert's honest reply to your query, i have few suggestions here.
Last August i did Mara, I was carrying 600 MM, 300 f/2.8 IS II and 70-200 f/2.8 and 24-70 f/2.8. I have used them extensively. It's a place you can with lots of photo opportunities. Sometimes i was running out of ideas to shoot. I am never satisfied nor tired with cat sightings and photographing.
However, a limited comment, 100-400 will provide lots of versatility. I think a Canon's 200-400 with 1.4X TC would be a great choice to avoid multiple lenses. But prime is prime again.
I used 600 mm at few places when the leopard cub was up on a tree and far.
Comment on 1: Always wanted to click an image when lion/lioness shaking off water post rain. That's a good shot but if i were you then i would left more space at the front which would have a strong composition.
Liked these shots: 8, 11, 15, 17. recently i have developed a fetish for silhouetted images. Excellent.
19: Could have been wonder: Sun and elephant. Little space in front of the elephant. You had space on the right.
22: Buffalo - up close and full of black mud. Superb one.
Finally, You were with one of my favorite photographer's company (David Lloyd).
