I post for your viewing pleasure the images I took of the same mother and infant verreaux's lemurs from my previous post. These are the very famous dancing lemurs. They are wonderful to see but a challenge to photograph.
Thanks for looking.

Wow! The jumping from a tree shot is phenomenal! Great capture!
Thanks Sandy. I had to stand with my lens at the ready, hand held for 30 minutes until they made the leap. There were several that jumped and I only got 3 or 4 usable shots; and then my arms fell off!

They must be a cross between a kangaroo and a monkey Don. A very nice job on these. As much as I like the IF shots, the last two stand out ~ Ron
Thanks Ron. Cute always seems to win out; but I prefer the action.

Beautiful shots with such great feeling between parent and child...I can only imagine trying to photograph theses erratic jumpers...well done!

Thanks Eric. Primate young are so appealing. And you don't have to imagine; just book a trip. Now get back to those northern lights.

Don, this is an absolutely outstanding set of images. It must have been a real treat for you. Just looking at these is a real treat for me. I hope you are making room on the wall for that last image. It deserves to be there.
