Below are some images I took last week with a ballet dancer here in the studio in Lyon. My original idea was to try to shoot with flour, but before making a big mess we decided to do some "classic" shots. We both were rather pleased with the result for a first try with flour.
+1 to Ron's comments. I think #8 is at the top of my list because -- on top of all the obvious reasons it's great -- her shadow adds an interesting dimension.
Awesome photographs. I photograph a lot of dancers as well but haven't tried flour yet since I rent my studio space. I don't think they'd appreciate the mess it creates. How bad was the cleanup for you?
Great photos. I would like to ask a logistical question that I hadn't considered until now. About the powder. How do you deal with that? I'd be sneezing like crazy.
