B&H is saying that they expect to ship some D500's out on Apr 21, but that those will all go to NPS members. They won't begin shipping to others until May 3rd
Apparently they got more than needed for the NPS folks, because I just got an email that mine is shipping today, and I am not an NPS member.
I see we have some opportunistic people also looking to make a quick profit on those with the most incurable GAS/NAS, just resist, soon there will be used ones for far less

Tracking number received from B&H.
Not a NPS member, order placed 5th Jan.
Me too! Great, was prepared to do local (60 mi R/T) and cough up
$150 in tax for the privilege BUT B&H comes thru like I've come
to expect. Happy times, indeed!!!!!!!
Here is a pair of default LR processed NEF's (viewable at 100%) from the D750 vs D500 at ISO 6400 - probably a slight edge to the D750 but they look impressively similar. Slight exposure difference though.
Congratulations to those that are able to get their hands on a camera today, or tomorrow! I did not get my pre-order in fast enough, so it seems, and I'll be waiting on B&H to reopen before I am able to get mine.

I don't use amazon for camera gear or any real high priced item. patience with my dealer and theirs with me give me and them earn us both good returns on investment. my primary supplier actually gives me really good service and does their best to maintain the professional relationship we have.
Amazon has about the best customer service imaginable. They will bend over backwards for the consumer. That said, it was all for nought, as my D500 just got marked shipped by B&H.
Nothin. From what the reps are saying here it's supposed to be the 26th, which is unfortunate. The saddest part of that being that I'm about 95% sure that my store has them...just can't let them out in public.
I'm hoping to have time to go looking for Golden Eagles, then back in time for the kidlets soccer practice on Tuesday...give it a good workout.
Having watched, and occasionally been a part of all of the Nikon and Canon product releases over the last several years, one thing you need to remember is that EVERY idiot on the street believes that they should make a camera that is 100% tailored to their every whim. There will always be people that expect more, there will always be people that say that it's not good because "insert random criteria here". If you listen to the noise coming from early reviewers when they post 50'000 ISO shots of their cat you will 100% NEVER be satisfied with a new camera product...so ignore it all. They're all a bunch of biters who had nothing better to do with a brand new camera than take pictures of their cat...do you think that defines your place in the market? Wait for the shots to come in from the people that didn't care about a video of the unboxing, didn't care about some useless shot of something that nobody gives a shit about, and unboxed the camera and immediately put it to work. THOSE are the reviews that matter. People that see the camera for what it is, a tool to get the job done.
That's my 0.02 as someone that pre-ordered and enjoyed both of my last two purchases.
