It's called "House on Fire" because that's what it's called.
It's the most photographed Anasazi ruin in existence.
It's amazing, and shows how photogenic this particular ruin is, that it has been the subject of the FTOTW twice. Due to the photographers' skills of course!

A quick trip? Oh, I forgot you are a master traveler as well as photographer. My epic journeys are your jaunts!
I like this point of view, Sunny. Not sure about the dark areas, though. Seems that there would be interest in those areas if they were recovered.
It was a quick trip
leave after dinner, shoot sunrise in zion, try for lottery in Kanab, shoot the hoodoos, sunset in MV, Sunrise in MV, go to house on fire, then Canyonlands...false kiva, dead horse sunrise...back to LA Sunday evening
I did recover some of the dark areas for the print.
Great shot! Almost actual size!! Great place to visit, and you expect to see mountain lions on the hike to the house! Did you make it to Fallen Roof Ruin?
