During fashion week a textile designer from out of town asked if we could book a shoot of her fabrics. I was game, but thought it would be fairly mundane and routine until she brought up the idea of doing something creative with a model.
I had met Katie two weeks before - learning she'd spent the summer with the national ballet and was selected from there to spend a week at the Paris ballet... She's extremely talented - and she's just 14 years old.
Anyway, this was the comcept. She nailed shot after shot with all kinds of poses and leaps win different fabrics. She was really fun to work with. These are just a few of the 10 shots we got on the day.

These are all great but #1 is huge standout for me, the shape of the fabric above the girl is just magic! Also like the color dialog between the green and blue color.

Beautiful set! Really like images 1 and 4!
Model really gave you some nice poses/jumps for your images. I don't know "jack" about ballet or dancing, but from the images you took she looks extremely talented.

Great shots and beautifully focused light setup. You express the elegance and feather like lightness of the dancer beautifully. I like #3 the best best, with the light in her hair and on her skirt. May you explain your lighting?

Gorgeous set Brent. You really captured a nice interaction between the dancer and the fabrics. Hope your client likes what you've done. Beautiful work.
