The first picture is a classic in every respect. Love every part of it. I would be inclined to lighten the foreground on the right to provide more detail and see if it improved the image.
Picture #2 would also benefit from a lighter foreground. This is when blending two or three exposures is worthwhile.
Both 1 and 2 are great images with even more potential with very little additional processing. Both would be great gallery prints.
