Greetings,
Bruce joined Harsha and I to attend a Raptor Workshop provided by Raymond Barlow.
We were taken to the "Canadian Raptor Conservancy Inc." just south of Simcoe, Ontario. The owner, operator, and a super falconer is responsible for 210 birds of prey. These birds are raised at the conservancy. Many are sold to zoos all over the world.
They have a 10,000 square foot indoor building with a "Green Screen" for video taping of birds inflight. A commercial at last year's Super Bowl had a Bald Eagle in it that was video taped using this facility. Our photos did not use this screen and were photographed in the field.
There were many raptors that I have never seen and probably would never have the opportunity to photograph.
This is a beautifle set Larry and a wonderful advertisement for Ray as well as Canadian Raptor Conservancy. One of the things that I love about your photos and the ones that come our or Ray's workshops at the conservancy is how natural the birds look in the environment.
Very impressive set there Larry. The CRC is a great facility and James does a phenomenal job with the birds. Their photography workshops have steadily improved over the past year.
Impressive images and presentation Larry. Applomado falcon is stealing the show for me, that's a beaut Larr
Eurasia Eagle Owl is sweet, great shot buddy!
The face full of Bald Eagle is a winner, just love the look and character in this image
Interesting coloring on the Redtail.
Quite the show you guys were treated to, you did find job on your shots IMO
Fantastic set Larry. My favorite pose is #3. Love the wing spread in that. I remember your Northen Hawk Owl with a similar pose.
Ray did a wonderful job at the workshop and highly recommend for anybody who wants to shoot raptors and practice flight photography.
It was a blast and Ray- Thank you very much for your hospitality.
