This area has been on my hit-list for a long, long time. My previous job inhibited me from timing things like this but fortunately that's all changed! Going out there was a task and a half. Major snowfall warning and much of the highway piled high with slush and ice, which is the worst of everything! Made it safe and sound
C&C welcome and appreciated. I'm also curious how vibrant (or not) the colours appear as I'm having a little bit of issue exporting from LR and having things show up accurately in the jpeg and on the web.
Seems you nailed the color, a creamy glacier blue, usually it's more of a deep turquoise. Snow can be difficult to get right but the soft light helps here. I like the outline that the snow makes along the low water shoreline...
Very nice Matthew! I love winter shots of this view and the fresh snowfall really makes the picture. I have so many photos from here and (unfortunately) most look similar. Well done!
