Been a while since posting photos, I have been a tad busy on other projects. Anyway, here are a few that I have taken over the last month or so.

#1 - Nankeen Kestrel - looking to see what this big lens was doing

D810 + 400 f2.8E FL VR - 1/1000s f/5.6 iso180

#2 - Currawong on a Waratah - simialr bird to a Magpie, but native to Australia sitting on a native Australian flower

D810 + 400 f2.8E FL VR - 1/500s f/4.0 iso180

#3 - White Faced Heron

D810 + 400 f2.8E FL VR - 1/1000s f/5.6 iso400

#4 - Superb Fairy Wren

D810 + 400 f2.8E FL VR + 1.4x TCIII (560mm) - 1/400s f/5.6 iso640

#5 - Willie Wagtail

D810 + 400 f2.8E FL VR + 1.4x TCIII (560mm) - 1/250s f/5.6 iso250

#6 - Variegated Wren - one of the very rare sightings of this bird for me!

D810 + 400 f2.8E FL VR + 1.4x TCIII (560mm) - 1/400s f/8.0 iso800

#7 - Variegated Wren with lunch

D810 + 400 f2.8E FL VR + 1.4x TCIII (560mm) - 1/400s f/5.6 iso450

#8 - Spotted Pardalote - I love his pose!

D810 + 400 f2.8E FL VR + 1.4x TCIII (560mm) - 1/800s f/8.0 iso5000

#9 - Nankeen Night Heron - another rare sighting of this bird for me!

D810 + 400 f2.8E FL VR + 2x TCIII (800mm) - 1/640s f/8.0 iso220 shot from about 60mts away and cropped about 50%.

#10 - Eastern Bristlebird - Not the easiest of birds to get as they are very rare - about 2000 in existance - and rarely venture out of the undergrowth. This little guy was singing his heart out.

Spectacular Lance...that 400 2.8 really shines in your hands. Really like that Nankeen Night Heron shot.

You really have some amazing details here Lance. Some of these species are truly an eyeful of beauty! Great set of birds, wow!!

For me in the images with a great deal of BG the level of saturations at times seems a bit overpowering of the smaller subject or seems to detract from the subjects color itself if that makes sense?

#1 is a dream shot, oh my that is something special

#2 I really like the darks in this shot and that piercing eye, very cool image

All others are wonderful and #8 is one attractive bird!
