p.1 #13 · p.1 #13 · A look at Torres del Paine - Your beauty and pumas. | |
Thank you very much for the comments to my photos.
I apologize for my English is not good. But I want to leave a comment for those wishing to visit Torres del Paine and not die trying to photograph lions and other animals.
All photographed cougars here are wild and living in complete freedom - that's beautiful - in those days we saw 10 different individuals, males, single females with cubs and mothers, some are more tolerant and other very grumpy and wild, but thanks to excellent guide who accompanied me have come to be 8 to 10 meters in some of them, being able to do portraits in excellent condition.
Here we have used a canon 500mm lens 6D team in all the photos, some 1.4 converter was attached.
Only the first landscape was taken with 7dII canon and canon 24mm 1.4 II lens.
I've seen some nature photographers there, but we have not talked much regret not knowing much English, but I could understand not had much luck and have had to pay very high sums, returning empty-handed.
I recommend to guide Mr. Jose Vargas Sandoval, he is excellent. They are 35 years ranger knows the terrain, he is sincere - if no pumas will tell, not creating false expectations - has tremendous experience in guiding work on documentaries made by NatGeo, BBC, etc. And the best part is that charges reasonable prices. Their service is very good, more than 12 hours per day to be available, also has comfortable mobility if the photographer does not have it.
It is difficult to have time with him, guiding his schedule often crowded, but with time can achieve.

I do not have any business contact with this person, just my intention is to help those who wish to be able to photograph at Torres del Paine after a long journey and economic effort. I hope you find it useful.
Thanks again for the good reviews, I have many more photos of pumas, it has been a very good trip, and this I owe to the help of Mr. Jose Vargas.
Remember that it is obligatory for cougars photography guided by a professional person, we are faced with wild animals that usually do not attack humans, but we must not forget this favor.
All photographs are full frames, and have basic editing, what we see is what caught the camera.
