Also in my research, the Wilderness Systems had the best rated seat for comfort and that is usually my issue in kayaks as I'm 6'3" and don't always last more than an hour due to cramping and sore back but with this one over the weekend I comfortably paddled for almost 4 hrs without any issues.
I second the Wilderness brand of kayaks!! I have the Talon model and the seat is wonderful!! I too suffer from a bad lower back when locked into a single position for a long stretch, but this seat system is very comforting and adjustable!
Nice kayak and great bird shots too !!
Just wondering if you had any special self rescue training in case of a capsize ?
I have a SOT that I have not used for photography but I have fished from it. Yours seems like it would be more comfortable and protected from the elements .
Cheers

The Wilderness Pungo 120 is a great kayak, according to many users. The cockpit is large enough and not cramped like so many other kayaks. Kevlar kayaks are light but very expensive.
