Thanks very much Jeff. In most cases, if I altered an image, I would explain it to whomever I'm giving it to. I feel this special moment deserves authenticity and if they don't like it, and want to re-shoot it, I'd be more than happy to oblige.
I went by this field on Wednesday and did not see anyone there. I ended up putting a print in their mailbox with a note attached, including my email address, because I didn't want to drive up their long driveway out of respect for their privacy. I'll update this post if they respond.
