Interesting, I have that exact same formation of light on that same night in the first image that I shot from the Dempster Hwy in Northern Yukon...mine was looping back on a mountain...I wonder if it was the exact same time!!
Wow...simply breathtaking! They all look wonderful to me Scott as each aurora shot has a different fingerprint. Great effort and planning to capture this magic.

For aurora there is no real 'one size fits all' setting. It's all dependant on the aurora. Some can be bright, some dim, some actively changing, some just slow and glowing. So it is a matter of making many adjustments as you shoot. I typically shoot in the 20-30s range and try to shoot around f8 if the aurora is bright enough as I usually include landscapes in my aurora images. Also, my POS Samyang 14/2.8 is pretty much useless below f8.
