I visit the Canon forum, it is amusing at times how so many technical things are discussed that really often are easily overcome by a good photographer IMO.
You have a great eye for creating an image rather than just taking a shot of a subject, the low angle is conducive in promoting great shore bird images and you have done a fine job of showing that and taking the initiative to working for these angles, congrats!
Some thoughts and these are only my opinions......
#3 it looks like you were below water level It looks like there is a bit of a 'wall' of water in the foreground and possibly this shot may look better with the bottom of the image being just below the horizontal water line just below the birds submerged feet?
#4 is the shot that the horizon looks slightly tilted to me
Perhaps leaving a bit more room in the shots in the direction the bird is looking will help in de-centering a few of these not that they are exactly centered but a bit more space can create a pleasant feeling in a few of these.
#'s 1, 5 and 7 are my picks, these are excellent!
Oh and by the way, does your camera do verticals

I actually link these from Flickr where I only post Horizontal public images due to crazy layout on photostream. For shorebirds, vertical position shots are difficult since I am so low on the ground. So, I try to use high resolution of the modern digital camera and leave some space for a vertial from a horizonta shot. Here a few vertical images from the images I posted above.

This is the only critique that I could come up with. The lighting and perspective are really nice on all of these.
