Got a question in pix three it shows a caterpillar and an tiny egg.
Does that tiny tiny egg turn into a caterpillar?
Thanks in advance!
BB
Thank you, BB. Yes, you are right. There are four phases in a butterfly life. The egg, than the larva or caterpillar. The first thing the larva does when it comes out of the egg is eat the egg shell. As soon as a caterpillar is done growing, they form themselves into a pupa, also known as a chrysalis. The Cocoon is the protective covering around the pupa. Finally, when the pupa has done all of its forming and changing inside the cocoon, an adult butterfly emerges from the cocoon. Impressive!
