This is my first picture post here. I hope I can do it right . These were taken in St. Petersburg/Seminole area near the Suncoast Seabird Sanctury in July. Used D4 and 500mm VR all hand held/support from ground. Comments welcome
Welcome to FM...a wonderful soft fuzzy first post....except the second where it looks like the poor little chick has been skewered in the head! But I suspect it's just the angle like we used to pretend we would swallow a knife but it would go to the side of our mouth....anyway...super set and welcome aboard.
Eric
Terrific first post, and I look forward to seeing many more of your photographs. I took a look at your web site as well, and you have a wide-ranging selection of beautiful photographs there...so keep posting here on FM.
Thank u guys. Looks like the site is more about photography rather than equipment like some other sites . That's nice. Thanks for visiting my site Tom. I'm working on the site itself. Eric, the second image was little communication between the mother and baby. That was one of the youngest chick in the group.
Jeff, the siblings were not really playing. One of them were chasing the other one constantly because the weaker one got the fish this time. I have few that the one chasing the other attacking the other. Luckily the weaker one didn't die after week and he/she is eating the big fish in one of the pictures. It's very interesting to watch them.
