Man these three are great! Those eyes are so captivating in #1. I love the controlled use of flare and expression in #2. The composition and editing of #3 is top notch. Looks like a grand slam to me. Good job
These are all very nice Ron. Light background, dark background and silhouette. Hard to pick a favorite. Something to learn from all of them.
Thanks for sharing.

Well said - I agree.
Absolutely beautiful, as usual! They're all nice, the silhouette is exquisite. Can I ask what kind of a background you had her againstory in #1? Love the white/blue and how she just melts into oblivion...

Thanks, Haley! We're actually on a beach looking out into Lake Michigan. Exact opposite direction of the sunstream shot with the sun coming through the trees. The white that you see is the sky, the blue (coming just across below her shoulders) is the water.
*but*, there is one thing keeping it from being an epic shot... her feet!
For a dancer, there are her "tools" and (IMO) must be included in the shot.
Had this shot shown her on her toes, WOW!

Totally agree with you, Greg. She's en pointe in this shot but there's no way to see it. We're on these rocks out in the lake. She's a 17-year old pre-professional dancer and there's just no way I'm going to have her on a rock, lose her balance and fall into the rocks. This was the highest rock we could find with a flat surface that she could work with. Killed me that I couldn't find one on top as I felt seeing her feet would be the difference between an epic shot and a really good one, which is what it is.
