This is from a couple of weeks ago. I had my daughter and grandkids meet me up in the Tetons for camping and exploring. The kids ages 3, 4 and 5 had a blast, it was their first time to the Tetons, but not their first time camping and they love it.
While my family was there and we hiked and explored during the day, sunsets and sunrises were my time with my camera. While the family snored I shot, it was a plan that worked wonderfully.
Now even though it rained a lot while I was there, the sun had a habit of breaking through right at sunset and sunrise and made for some spectacular times. This was one of those mornings that even though it was raining during the night it stopped shortly before sunrise.
Awesome photo Jim! The Tetons are such an awesome place, I can't wait to get back there some day! I always hear people talking about going to Yellowstone, but I would rather be an hour south in the Tetons.
The lighting and colors you got in that photo are really nice. I like how the mountains are framed by the trees. The only think I am not completely sold on is the grass in the foreground. I like it, but I am just not sure I like it centered? Either way, awesome photo.
I kinda wish that grass was a little lower so it wasn't obstructing the reflection but I tell you what, I would die to have a shot like this printed HUGE and hanging on my wall. Especially with the wonderful memories that you have from this trip.
