Here's a 16 pack of some black skimmers. This year has proved to have a healthy population of skimmer chicks with predation less noticeable as the skimmers chased most of the gulls away this season.

Some of the young 'uns are flying and skimming already.

What a great study in Skimmers. Lots of angles and actions. Can't remember ever seeing any shots of one flying away with a fish. I have a couple at the moment they snatch one as they skim, but none with it being carried away. Great stuff.
