Awesome job! If you don't mind me asking, what camera/lens combo did you use to get this shot?
Hi Surfnsun, Camera &settings: Nikon D810, Nikon 14-24mm@18, ISO 250, f/11, 1/80 sec.
I will also update it in description to this post as I keep forgetting about doing it when I post at first. Blame it on my age
Beautiful image, the vibrance of the life in those fires and the contrast with the danger those fires have brought are certainly brought out in this image. Makes me even more sorry I haven't gotten the chance to jump the border yet this summer.
Thank you for sharing your experience and wonderful photo. It is an amazing DOF and the clarity and dynamic range of the 810/14-24mm combo are compelling. I really appreciated your story of running to catch the best alignment of the sun, limiting the view of the snowfield. Sometimes we are only given a moment to make the capture, and you've done it!
