A supernova-like natural light bleed into a remote SW location I am very fond of. I head down there in about a week (for about 10 months) and simply can't wait. With the heightened Monsoons this year I hope to get them some great dramatic imagery, hopefully better than this one.
That's a great location! I am glad to hear that some of the people from here are joining you on some upcoming workshops, I am sure they will learn a lot.
This shot looks pretty nice, but I agree with Craig that the moon looks funny bring so dim in the reflection.
Mark - this is very nice. Great colors and composition. Although for my taste I would shoot higher and skip the reflected moon because the bottom is a bit dark without features.
Really nice glow going on here and I like how the moon in the left helps visually balance the more intense colors on the right. When did you take this? I'm finally going to be back in the area later this summer and hope there's still some water around.
Wonderful image, Mark. Great stuff. We can only hope the monsoon kicks into gear soon. It's been a little off in AZ this year but a little better here in NM.
I think it is a very nice looking image. It's interesting that (to me at least) the clouds that are under the moon look sharper in the reflection than in the actual sky.
