For my senior portrait sessions, my biggest seller is the album. Just thought I'd share an album design, which gives more of a complete look at one of my senior portrait sessions. I do my designing with Fundy Album Builder. My senior albums are 12x12 inches, the lay-flat Photobook by BRI.
5. I had another shot that reduced the green on the right pic so the green matched the green on the left pic, which helped Claire pop out more, but Claire really liked the color in this shot as is. http://farm1.staticflickr.com/337/19588395429_bd333b9cc7_b.jpg
Ron, obviously take this with a grain of salt as I am no pro, but there is a lot of sameness for me. It think it might be a stronger collection if it were broken up with some detail shots, some outtakes from the sessions or maybe some landscape types shots were she is not engaging with the camera. However, you know your clients and the work is excellent so my view likely makes no practical difference in any event.
I'm with you & mom on 9-right and 13, and I add #10/back cover as my favorite. She's well lit and the brightness of the sun pulls my eye away, then pushes it right back because it is too bright and uninteresting. So in many ways, my eye spends more time on #10.
I like the album design and in my non-pro opinion would have been inclined to put a couple of the more 'fun' shots as more prominent features, like maybe the jumping shot in #7.

Appreciate your feedback. I allow my clients, both wedding and senior portraits, to change my original design in any way they'd like. Bottom line, this is their album. I agree that way too many of the shots, especially those featured in this album, had Claire camera-aware. It's something I've always struggled with, but actually did a fairly good job in this session of getting shots of her not camera-aware, often looking at and laughing with her mom. But many of those didn't make the cut, and those that did were made into smaller pics. I was also surprised that she didn't choose any of my b&w conversions.
Also appreciate your suggestion to add outtakes and detail shots. Getting detail shots is not something I normally do with my senior portraits unless they have something specific with them. But it's a great idea and I need to start getting more of them. Thanks again!
As hard as wedding albums seem to be for younger couples to appreciate, I would never have thought that Gen. Tech would be up for an album from a senior portrait. Or was Mom more enthused about the album than Claire?
Looks good, Ron. I keep saying I'm going to start trying to sell albums with my senior session but I keep not getting around to making my samples. I need to get on the ball. I plan on getting some samples of the Finao Playbooks.
The only thing I don't like are the way you kept white boarder on top and bottom of the left image in number 4. Many ofnthe other pages only used vertical white separators. I would have altered to male crop or resolution work.

Sometimes, there is a discussion about who gets to keep the album but it's pretty much always the mom. We also offer Sticky Albums for their smart phones so everyone definitely gets something.

The border on 4 was actually a mistake that went to print. I didn't even see it until I posted it here. Fortunately, lots of bleeding space so not an issue.

Brad,
It's absolutely a game-winner. It's my biggest seller. Once I pull out my samples, they have to have one as long as they have the means. I have had a few people who got bug-eyes when I said it costs $600 for 20 pages (10 spreads).
Do you offer more than one size? Also, tell me more about the sticky albums. Does that come with an album purchase or do you sell it separately? Is it easy to make?
