Eagle flight training was underway yesterday at the nest as the winds picked up. One almost went off the back of the nest seen in shot #5. With three fully grown eagles, the nest is tight for space when the wings are spread.
Excited or scared?...hard to tell:D
2) Air traffic control issues...
3) Wheee....look at me
4) I was cleared for takeoff....no I was....
5) Missed landing at the back of the nest...almost a fludge

geoff..amazing to see three young...most of the time in se alaska i have observed only one and at the most two survive in a clutch
Thanks. This nest has had 3 survive now 3 years in a row. This is a new mom starting 3 years back as the previous mom died in a power line incident. The previous mom was producing only 1 or 2 per year but this new mom is very fertile!! There are a lot of 3 clutch nests around whitehorse.

Running out of superlatives, Geoff... just want to know when and where I can get a signed copy of the photo book that you must publish with these amazing images that document the eagles' lives .
