great shots. I am curious, how does one go about getting shots like these? do you go out on your own finding your own locations, parks and times and tons of patience? or are you going on group trips or guided tours and again more patience?
I know there are tons of groups for landscapes, astronomy etc..where people go out in groups with photographer guides that know the best spots etc.. but do they have the same thing for wildlife and is that what a lot of people do to get shots like these?

Thanks for the good words. To answer your question, yes. We all go about this differently, some like to join groups and shoot with groups. I tend to shoot alone more often than not and avoid groups. Some like to hike in long distances, some like to drive and shoot from a parking lot. There are many ways to approach this hobby. As to how to find locations, that is usually the result of research, word of mouth and trial and error.

I live in GA and I just cant remember the last time I saw a bald eagle flying around lol let alone several and I see so many people on here get amazing bald eagle shots. its not like you walked out to your local sanctuary to get amazing BIF shots right?

I suppose it's all according to where we all live. I see bald eagles just about every day. And yes, I did walk out to my spot, during the correct time of the year, and have wonderful opportunities.
