Well this was not fluke. I have often wanted a set to last longer. Great handling of a wonderful opportunity.
Love to see it printed large! One to be proud of.

Thanks again JR. I will print this one - luckily it's really cheap in Shanghai so I can go large without penalty. I was thinking of printing on metal, anyone gone this route before for landscapes ? Does it add or subtract from the overall look & feel ?

Great image and you were quite lucky with the conditions. I needed for visits of the Seljalandsfoss to get a good shot at sunset.

In Iceland you really have to be lucky - the weather is so unpredictable and always way more grey/rainy days than blue or with fluffy clouds.
Luckily living in Germany it's just a short flight and I think lots of good flight deals too ! It was 15 hours flying time with a 12 hours layover (on the way back, going I took 4 days layover) for me - tough now, when I was younger it would have been easier
It has been said many times that a waterfall shot needs something a little extra to make it something special. I would dare say you achieved just that with this image. Wonderful capture indeed!
I could go either way on the fence but my choice would be to remove it as there are other things in the frame to give it scale.
Now if you excuse me, I'm going back to the front page to stare at this image again.

Thank you very LH ! I'm going to go back into LR and remove that fence just to see how I feel about the shot 'sans fence'

I was just in the place I have my stuff printed. Several of us were laughing about cost of print, mat and frame vs. metal. In most shows the traditional Gallery Framing is best in our juried shows.
Your image would be great and I am glad that you are close to the source for cost effective metal prints.
