Thank you for sharing your setup! Just curious - what kind of power do you need to output so that it gets a couple feet down? Also, are the halogen work lights or even ambient contributing to the exposure at all? The underwater strobe is contributing to the scene?
I have this notion in my head that white balance would be a mess when shooting underwater and lighting from outside the water...
It really doesn't require much power at all since I usually shoot at around ISO 400. The halogen lights help for when it gets dark. Neither they nor the underwater strobe affect exposure. Plus, you can turn the underwater strobe away from the shoot since it's only acting as a trigger. Or you can place it behind the model for a backlight and it serves two purposes.
Yes, WB tends to suck. So, just shoot in RAW, which helps.
Having seen some pretty awful attempts at this type of work on my local FB photo group I can appreciate your shots, they are fantastic Adam. I guess that housing cost a pretty penny ?

Thanks. Yeah the housing unit costs as much as the camera. Crazy.
Thanks for sharing you're setup. These are fantastic! Kudos to the models for keeping it together underwater while wearing those flowing dresses. I would probably panic.

Several do panic and I have to walk them through it. It's much more difficult than it looks.
