I don't see any option to post images in these forums. It says "available to upload and sell members only".
You have to pay- eh, I think $15 for a 30-month buy/sell membership.
You know, this could all be reverse psychology for Unit 9... publicly display some new gadget, tell people to delete photos of it, and BAM!, Unit 9 gets as much publicity as they would by paying an marketing firm.

Barcelona has an aeriel gondola ride high in the air over the bay. (spectacular views, BTW - well-worth it, IMO). So I took that the next day and shot the area where I had been. Unit 9 was still there - they had actually set up some black tents on one pier and it looked like they were doing some kind of a shoot. From the height and distance of the gondola I couldn't see any detail - all I had was my Nikkor 24-70. But the area where I had been was now blocked off with big piles of fishing net and metal barriers, so they seem to have been spooked by their encounter with me. If they were doing some kind of reverse-psychology thing I don't think they would have done that.
(I don't see an icon to insert an img tag in the square-bracket format that FM uses - it's not standard HTML - so I used a link. To see the full resolution of the image on Photobucket on a PC right-click the image do "View Image")
The overhead shot is a crop from the gondola. You can see the black tents. You can also see the stuff they piled up apparently after I shot the camera, to keep out the curious. (look for the white boat with the blue stripes, in the background in both shots). But also note the cars, the guy walking his dog, the person on the foot-scooter, etc, ...certainly nothing to indicate this is not a public environment.
Regarding the VR camera, this is a medium resolution downsize crop of the original - D800 shots are huge and I wasn't sure how big an image I could upload to Photobucket.
(we're really way off of Nikon here - is there a better forum for this?)

I'm sure they know about it by now because I've already posted it to bunch of video-industry news and leak and rumor websites.
It's actually very exciting news because I've been following VR technology for a while now - professionally I'm an Android developer and I'm interested in Google Cardboard so I track this stuff - and I'd already seen a few attempts to develop cinematic quality VR cameras but this is the best one I've seen yet.
When they saw me there I'm sure I looked like some typical tourist - it's sheer dumb luck that I stumbled onto something that's right up my alley in terms of my technical interests.
