Hey guys! Here`s another shoot from me from my Saint-Petersburg trip in early May.

This one was shot near Vyborg castle and it was intentionally retro-stylised.

Sigma 35/1,4 Art

Nikkor 50/1,8G

Totally impressed! Beautiful shot, superb image tones. Lovely model. Very well done. Definitely fine fashon.

Looking good, you make it look easy. I had to look up who Miss Marple was though, so I should read more.

Number three is just over the top wonderful.

The colors, her hair and the matching outfit, the lighting and processing, the composition, it just all works very, very well.

I know Miss Marple, and now when I read Agatha Christie again I'm going to have a completely different image, and thank you for that

#3 is perfection.
I love the backlighting and mood in #2.

I would consider cropping #1 to be portrait orientation -- there is a lot of empty space to camera left, and it's distracting.

I really like her popping against that darker bg in #1, especially the rim of the hat and the way it defines the area around her face.

Very well done on all three. I actually like the empty space she's looking into in #1 and love the shot.

I really like these also. The Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 does a nice job. Having a beautiful model always helps too.

Really superb images especially 1 and 3 ! In two the bright background is a bit unsettling, but the light on the model is still very pleasing.

Boy that 50 1.8 renders some nice backgrounds. Looks as good or better than the Sigma.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful images.

Very nice light and color grading is top notch. I think I've read some of your posts in m43 forum and there you explained that most of the post production is done with Lightroom only. Is your workflow still the same?

Keep 'em coming

Not the Miss Marple I remember from the TV series.

I don't have any problem with the negative space on #1. However, I found myself distracted by the window in the upper left corner. The negative space let's the viewer's eye explore. Ideally, you want it to wander back to the subject. The window kept pulling me off the edge. Maybe it is just me. :-/

I didn't really notice it until I read the comments, but I agree: the background on #2 is rather bright.

#3 is super.

Thanks.

Dave

WOW, just awesome portrait photography, and you saved the best photo for the last. She's to die for, that helps.

Great shots. She's a looker and you brought out the best and maybe a little more. Really nicely done.
Now... it may take a little time for her to really become Miss Marple, who we generally consider to be a more, um, mature woman. But it will be worth waiting around for it!

Outstanding photos, guaranteed to increase Agatha Christie's readership. Agree with Puffin's comments.
