p.2 #1 · Why Does the Elk Stand in the Middle of the River?
DonGut: I went back this am and could not find a kill. But that does not mean it did not happen. Glad you like 6. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
sritri: Glad the scene was great for you. It was even more thrilling in person. Especially when the wolf came up from behind me and looked me over. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
kmunroe: Glad you like 6. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
frdjohns: Wolves are so tough because of their camouflage and shyness. I just happened to find a hungry one. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
p.2 #2 · Why Does the Elk Stand in the Middle of the River?
sibirdie: It was a great day with a great set of subjects. Glad you like 6. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
psharvic: Glad you like 6. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
surfnron: Long shots with 600/1.4 and nervous hands in low light caused me to wonder if any would turn out. But I am very happy with 6. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
JimLittle: Glad you like the series. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
p.2 #3 · Why Does the Elk Stand in the Middle of the River?
OSOFAST: I think the natural response is to go to the middle of the river. But the river is fast and has just melted snow - so I don't know how long he can stand being in the river. This was just a single wolf or I am sure it would have been over more quickly. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
C Parish: This is the 2nd time I have wandered into a kill and been surprised. The last was with a wolf and a moose. When the deer/moose/eld is acting weird, there is likely something going on. But this time I was ready ( ) with my bear spray. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
p.2 #10 · Why Does the Elk Stand in the Middle of the River?
pliukait: Glad you like the story and shots. It was a lucky morning. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Maritan: Glad you like the set. I am glad I am human - a day of being mercilessly pursued by a wolf must be awful. Usually the wolves give humans a wide berth but the wolves on this road are a bit used to people and this particular wolf looks like the offspring of a wolf that I met last year that is particularly aggressive to humans (me - but that is another story) . So the bear spray was a good thing to have. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
p.2 #11 · Why Does the Elk Stand in the Middle of the River?
Fabulous set Scott...first thing I thought of when I read the title and saw who it was from was...it's being hunted by a wolf. Really love them, but of course #6 is a stand-out...although I think it realizes you're not a fit meal.

Unfit meal is right - the winter was hard on excerise It was a fantastic morning for me (but obviously not the elk). Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

p.2 #17 · Why Does the Elk Stand in the Middle of the River?
Ed Swift: I can tell you - its a lot more exciting in person. Particularly when the wolf approaches you in the bush. Glad you like the story/picture. It was really fun. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Thang: It was an exciting morning. I thought I was going to be skunked and turned back and 1 minute later - theres an elk in the river. Glad you like the series and story. Much appreciated. Scott

Gerry. Its not my skill but my persistence and lots of money in lens. I would love to show you some bears and wolves and moose. Come on out.
Bears and wolves are way different than southern animals - there is always that chance that you will have to use your bear spray and we are not allowed handguns in the park just to even up the fight.
Glad you like the set. Just bring the bodies and I will supply the lens. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Glad you like 6. The wolf and I were eye to eye for what was likely only 10 seconds but it felt like longer. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
