Here are some shots of the two eaglets eating and hanging out. I saw 2 fish brought to the nest and a hide of a ground squirrel is lying in the nest. Lots of food so far.
This is amazing to watch how these birds can be so gentle with their chicks, and the whole process is very interesting to see. Great photos as always. Do both of the parents actually feed the checks?
I'm so envious of your opportunity to get these photos, and the chicks are really so cute. They are so tiny compared to the adults. I've only gotten to shoot eagle fledglings when they're nearly adult size, so these tiny ones are a treat for me. Keep those wonderful shots coming. Great work.

Looks like a buffet! How are you getting so close to these guys? Are you wearing an eagle suit disguise? The last one is priceless.
Don
Thanks Don. The eagles have invited me into the nest. I think the EXIF is wrong as I shot these with the 8-15 fisheye

Thanks Barry. Yes both parents are feeding and both are taking turns staying on the nest and sitting on the little ones. They feed about every hour or when the other parent returns for a changeover. I'd read on the internet that the mom stays on the nest after they hatch but that isn't the case on this nest. They also shared duties very regularly with change over every 4 hrs when they were still incubating the eggs.

Thanks Terry. This nest is my passion and my main pastime for the next 3 months. I'll be sharing some images soon of another nest that is actually even closer and eye level but further to get to. I'm hoping they will hatch this weekend at the other nest.
