While checking the Red-shouldered nest I was able to witness an interesting behavior. I always saw the parents feeding the chicks little pieces of whatever pray they were bringing back. This time one chick grabbed what was left of a snake, about half the original size, and swallowed whole while its sibling was watching in astonishment

Amazing that you got that, sort of a whole story from beginning to end. Some fine work, and the images are so detailed. Looks like you're sitting in the nest with them. Very nice work indeed.
The look on the face of the parent is priceless too. With two teenagers who frequently have friends over, I think my wife and I look like that sometimes when we open the fridge or pantry one day after shopping to discover the food we bought is mostly gone. "That was supposed to last all week." D'oh!
