A guy I met in Viera told me about a Red-Shouldered nest nearby. So I went to check it out and was able to get some good shooting opportunities. This is a sequence of one of the parents collecting dried Spanish moss for its nest.
It was very interesting to watch the whole sequence especially being so close.
All were taken with the 7D II and the 100-400 II.

Wish I had found out about this nest while I was down there a couple of weeks ago. A great looking set.

This is a great sequence. I don't know how you could improve anything. Showing the environment is very good.

Fantastic set Socrate Love the sequence pulling the moss off the branch especially no 3. Anyone who has ever tried to remove moss knows it does cling and does not come off too easily.

Wonderful series.

The 100-400II shines on the 7DmkII. Almost like they were designed around each other.

Just incredible......#9 is awesome. Funny I have a 7DII and a 100-400.....my shots don't look like this Very inspiring set.

Great sequence and IQ Socrate. Was it possible the Hawks intent was to destroy the mockingbirds nest?
