I LOVE the horizon on the first one, and thought it the star of the series until I scrolled to the last one on the trunk. Wow! Beautiful images. If you share with her, she will be thrilled.
Nice pictures of the ballet dancer, but they look like they were taken in the late 1800's .
I don't think I have ever seen pictures of an ugly female ballet dancer. Do they even exist?

Thanks for the feedback but what makes you think they look like they were taken in the late 1800's ?

She is thrilled. I was in fact looking for a dancer for a series in the streets of Paris, but as she had already done series like that, she really wanted to do some studio work. She was very pleased with the results.

I was very impressed (and still am) with how graceful and athletic she was with beautiful form. The last one is a good example of that.

Some of them remind me of the old picture books that you flip the pages to make the person dance. Also, they are absolute black and white with nothing in between.

Ha, funny, I don't have that reference but is very interesting. The desired effect from these images was indeed more classic, given the clothing in the first 2 and last 3, and especially the last 3 images which were taken in a "Haussmann" style apartment - which were built in the late 1800's / early 1900's
Below are the images in color, which offer a different perspective
