I will be in Iceland from May 10th to May 23rd. This will be my first time there, so I am really looking forward to it. While I am in Iceland my Wife will go on to your city, Rome, on business. We are dual Italian/American citizens so get to Italy once or twice a year.

what a coincidence! So you are an Italian citizen too! Very nice to know this
I have never been in Iceland on May but people there consider May one of best month to go around. You should find mild weather, vivid green grass all around and a lot of birds by the sea.
In my opinion Iceland is a place that gives a lot of photographic opportunities all around the year, even if many photographers go there only during winter.
So have a nice trip in Iceland and.. un saluto e buona giornata!
