It's easy to see with my Zeiss 100-300/4-5.6. I've had to add lens support to get sharp shots at the long end in less than bright sunny light. The plastic tabs to support the lens in the lens mount amplify the issue

Tripod mounted to an arca-swiss plate on the bottom of the camera body, no lens collar involved. I used a 2 second delay for shutter release.

I rented the A7r this week, in part just to see about this issue for myself. It is real, and very visible with Canon 200mm f/2.8L shot at 1/125th. Shot off largest Feisol, FLM 58 Centerball head, in portrait, shutter delay, mounted both from the side of the L plate, and from the base of the plate with the ball head in the drop slot. I was hoping that having the momentum of the shutter working directly in to the mass of the fairly hefty head might help, but it didn't.
I know there are many more strategies to try (besides just dodging some range of affected shutter speeds), but if the desire is a light weight kit, these work against that purpose.
However, I can still grab the 5Dii for longer lenses; I don't usually carry the 200mm just for the hell of it. The 135mm looked pretty much OK, but I haven't gotten super scientific yet.
