This is Cope Hut, which is up on the Bogong High Plains in Victoria's {Australia) alpine high country. This shot was taken after sunset.

I like it a lot. You framed it well although I would probably crop off the background tree on the left.

Beautiful scene, and I knew from the small preview image on the main forum page that it was taken in Australia.

The colours in the sky are interesting. Such a sharp transition from the blue to pink looks kind of unnatural.

Thanks Jim. It is used by hikers as a stop off point on an overnight trail. Was originally built as a skiers refuge back in 1929.

Thanks. Yeah, that sharp transition shouldn't be that sharp. Looks like an issue with my sloppy processing. It will be looked at.

I hope this isn't an eye-rolling comment for an Australian, but this shot reminds me of "The Man From Snowy River". Love that movie... Gorgeous place and a beautiful image!
