Some of the other shots bring the wow factor in terms of being difficult to capture, but I really like number one the best. It is simple compared to those others but that is as much of the charm as anything-it's just a great pose with a wonderful expression captured in great lighting. Her personality really seems to show through in a very flattering way in that first one.
Thanks! Had my settings set to completely knock out the ambient light, largely speaking. ISO probably 100 or close to it, f/11 or so, 1/200. Flash was not an issue as it wasn't a performance, it was a photo shoot so she was totally expecting the flash.

Thanks! I think what you're asking me is if I shot "spray and pray" or did a single shot. I'm a dance photographer first, so I've gotten used to capturing the peak moment with one shot -- although it takes a number of attempts before we nail it together. So yeah, single shot, multiple attempts.
