That is one fabulous birding and photography trip you have had, Kevin. Glad to hear that now you are "cold-proof"; it seems that all those posts about clothes were very useful. Looking forward to see the rest. A.
Ha ha - thanks Alex. It was a great trip, doesn't make up for missing Instanbul with my wife, and it was a pity we missed you.
The advice I received on this board re. Arctic clothing was great and helped me -arctic-proof myself

Wow Kevin, all I got to say is:
A very stunning set and variety that was taken by you in off the charts cold temperatures of -58 degrees Fahrenheit and also in the real wild; that said, you get my vote for featured thread of the week BRAVO
BB
Thank you so much BB ! I don't think I've ever had a vote for TotW before so it's great to hear that you enjoyed the thread that much. Thank you again
Thoroughly enjoyed your thread, what a trip and to comeback with some great images, nice one.
That low light in the snow just breathtaking and at -50 it must have been!
Thanks.

Holy crap. Some wonderful stuff here. Snowy owls # 4 and #9 are super nice. The #19 wild horses is just over the top.
I'm a great fan of wild horse shots, as we have them here in North Carolina in the USA ( a not so commonly known fact) and I love to photograph them here. I just LOVE the mystical feel of that image. You have indeed inspired me to get hopping this Spring and do some more serious work with the wild horses we have here. You can read about them on my web site www.NCWildHorses.com.
I'd love to see more of your wild horse images from there. Super work, all of it, but I am just so blown away with that horse shot.

Ha Ha. Thank you so much for your lovely comments. It's great to hear that my work has inspired someone, that's wonderful and I hope you get the shots you are aiming for. Hopefully I have enough shots of the herd to compile a thread

Thank you so much for the comments Phil
All I can say is that with the right clothing the whole experience is surreal ... for a 'previously' warm weather addict, I'm cured now
