Don't worry about the sunlight on the rock. I have seen that color and tone a number of times. Was never lucky enough to catch a winter scene like yours though. Great job.

Jon, thank you for the encouragement. The contrast was visually shocking, at least for me. With images like that, I am trying to process them while memory of the color is still fresh in my mind.

Thank you! It was not white knuckle, not really. Up to the park boundary, the road was free of snow and ice. In a park it was really awful, but still passable if going slow. I guess they do not use salt on the roads in National Parks.

Thank you! Early get-up was not related to photography, its just the airline schedule - had to take kids to the airport, in hour drive from home.
