Wow, thanks so much for the comments everyone! I'm glad everyone seems to be feeling the winter magic we had out there. I'm really looking forward to putting together a few other shots with more intricate ice formations from my past month of shooting!

Beautiful place captured wonderfully, Justin. Hello from Abraham Lake!
Thanks Kee, good luck out there! How is the ice right now? We've had some really hot weather lately, so I hope the majority of it is accessible and hot too milked over from the surface melting. Im looking forward to getting out there while leading a private tour in january, and hope it stays cold throughout the christmas season!
Fabulous image Justin. Well thought out and executed. Were you using a borrowed or "used" camera for this? For some reason, the metadata indicates "Copyright Copyright 2013 Christopher Mielke" when I look at it in Chrome. If it's a camera you purchased used, I recommend you change the copyright info in the camera.

Huh, I guess that guy has been getting the credit for every image I have taken this year. Oh well!
Thanks, I just switched it in camera. And yes it is used, although it was practically fresh out of the box when I bought it for cheap.
